BRAC Bank approves 10pc cash, 20pc stock dividend

The 18th annual general meeting of BRAC Bank has approved 10 per cent cash and 20 per cent stock dividend for the year 2016, the bank said in a press statement yesterday.

Chairman of the bank Sir Fazle Hasan Abed presided over the AGM which was held at BRAC-CDM, Savar yesterday.

The chairman of the bank informed the shareholders at the AGM that the bank earned Tk 9,267 million operating profit in 2016 which was Tk 7,799 million in 2015 registering a growth of 19 per cent. The bank recorded Tk 4,460 million as the profit-after-tax during the year 2016 which was Tk 2,436 million in 2015.
