The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection has sent another notice to mobile phone operator Robi, asking the firm to pay a fine of 410,000 Taka within 15 working days.

The telecom operator was fined on the basis of complaints filed by 3 consumers. The directorate ordered ROBI to pay the fine within 5 days on the 17th April this year.

However, another notice was sent on Sunday, as the telecommunication firm did not pay the fine within the deadline.

Talking to the Independent, DeputyDirector of DNCRP Shaheen Ara Momtaz stated that the final notice was sent to Robi under section 70 (5) of the law, and legal action will be taken against the firm in default. When contacted, Robi declined to comment on the matter.
