Two thrilling sequels hit Star Cineplex today

Film buffs can catch two films, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Zombieland: Double Tap, at Star Cineplex from today. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora.  The sequel, starring Angelina Jolie in the titular role and Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within. It is directed by Joachim Rønning.

Zombieland: Double Tap is a zombie comedy film directed by Ruben Fleischer. A sequel to Zombieland, it has Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone reprising their roles from the first film, alongside new cast members Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch, and Luke Wilson. After the events of the first film, Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.
