Customs arrests man with 22 gold bars at HSIA

Customs officials on Thursday arrested a man along with 22 gold bars from Shahjalal International Airport.

A flight of Regent Airways of Doha-Chittagong-Dhaka route landed at the airport around 10:30 am.

Tipped off, a team of customs officials challenged Azizur Rahman, 30, hailing from Chittagong, and recovered 22 gold bars after searching his body at the customs lounge, said assistant commissioner of Dhaka Customs House Khairul Bashar.
