2 women held with 40 gold bars at Dhaka airport

Customs officials arrested two women along with 40 gold bars, weighing 4.625kg, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday morning. Tipped-off, customs officials challenged Jasmine Akhter and Parvin Akhter at the customs hall around 8:40am, said Moinul Khan, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate. Jasmine and Parvin came from Muscat to Chittagong, and then flied to Dhaka on a domestic flight. The customs officials recovered the gold bars searching their bodies.
