One held with 7 gold bars in Benapole

Benapole Customs Authority arrested a man with seven gold bars from near Benapole Land Port Immigration Office on Wednesday morning, reports BSS.

The arrested was Parvej Hossain, 30, son of Monir Hossain, resident of South Lakkhankhola village under Bandar Thana in Narayanganj.

A team of the customs office nabbed Parvej from the area and recovered the gold bars after searching his body, said Mahamud Khan, an official of the office.

He tried to go India through the border, the official added.
